The story

From a Safe Space to a Growing Vision

Nimi Events began as Nimi Cuisine, born from a simple idea: to introduce authentic African canapés to the UK event scene. I wanted to create elegant bite sized experiences that celebrated African flavours in a way that felt true to our culture.

But the story didn't stop with food.

In 2025, I was given the opportunity to create content for an event. What started as a one off experience quickly became something I genuinely loved. It opened my eyes to another side of the events industry and made me realise that people often need more than just catering. They need support bringing an entire event to life.

That's when Nimi Cuisine evolved into Nimi Events. Today, Nimi Events is a full service events brand offering catering, gifting, event content creation, event planning, coordination and handcrafted pastries. Our goal is simple: to be a one stop destination where clients can find everything they need to create memorable experiences without the stress of managing multiple vendors.

The heart of Nimi Events, however, goes much deeper than business. I grew up in the kitchen. It was my safe space, the place I naturally gravitated to whenever I wanted comfort, creativity or simply a moment to myself. Whether I was cooking, learning or just sitting quietly, the kitchen always felt like home. Over time, that love for food, hospitality and bringing people together became the foundation of what is now Nimi Events.

Today, we proudly embrace the richness of African culture, bringing its warmth, flavour, creativity and sense of community into every event we create. From intimate celebrations to large scale occasions, our mission is to help people connect, celebrate and create lasting memories.
